21:1

As an Asian student in London, “Where’re you from?” is probably the most frequent question people like to ask. So I go with “I am from Macau” every time I was asked. However, most of these people’s faces then turned into confused ones. This is because most of them don’t really know where

Macau is or they have never even heard of the place. “It is next to Hong Kong” is the best way to clear up people’s confusion as they do know

where Hong Kong is and have probably heard of quite much about. Sometimes I may also bring up Macau’s nickname “Little Vegas” and people will

say they have heard of a place like that yet they don’t know its called Macau. I have been in London for almost two years, 95% of the people

whom I have had conversation with doesn’t know what and where is Macau.  And as an oversea student here in London, I can’t help comparing the two places in many ways since I have been living and observing in both cities, with lots of strong feelings towards both places. This is exactly what drives me in deciding to expose more about Macau to people in here, in a way of comparison.

I've been living in Macau for 21 years.  And this is my first year to live in London.  That's how I named my animation.  Also, when I was doing primary researches, I found out the best way to express the comparison is to apply split screen method into my project, so WALA, that's how the magic happened.  Hope you guys enjoy!
